Blessed Be

Blessed be the apocalypse,
I drink my doom in little sips,
I am near the end of my days,
It won’t affect me anyways,
Even as we speak daylight slips

The world needs to come to grips,
The truth is at our finger tips,
Still, we walk about in a daze,
Blessed be

The oil slicks from sinking ships,
Sucking tailpipes with blue lips,
Genetically engineer our maize
And thus the cattle as they graze
O, experimental conscripts
Blessed be
