The Martian

Human contact is an Alien concept,
The idea is foreign to me,
Love is an Extra-terrestrial precept,
A universal truth it be,
Worlds away and worlds apart,
The stuff of moonbeams and dreams,
In each beating of the heart,
But nothing is ever as it seems,
When ribcage acts as prison bars
And Martian landscape is an outlandish place,
I turn and look toward the stars,
Out into the reaches of outer space,
I cannot even begin to tell you how much
I miss companionship and Human touch
